How to separate your business and personal lives

Step #1 - Put your friends into lists

Any advanced Facebook operations start with controlling the flow of
information. Who sees what on your page and what you see of others.
That all begins with putting your friends into lists. To start, get to the friends
menu, click on "account" and then on "edit friends"...

Once you've clicked on "edit friends", you'll see the main friends page

In the circled area indicated above, you'll see a box called "Create New List".
Click on that and follow the steps to create your new list. You can select from
your existing friends to add them to the proper list. Just start typing their name
and they will pop right up. Notice I started typing "Di..." and all the names with
"Di" were filtered out...:

Ideas for list names:
- Family
- Hobbies (bowling team, bridge club, etc.)
- High School
- College
- Work
- Church

Next lesson we'll discuss how to utilize these lists in the controls to grow
your business page, send messages efficiently, etc.
